Hannah's bump shoot

Hannah had contacted us with regard her pregnancy shoot a few months before she came. She had some quite strong ideas about what she wanted, which was great, but we also managed to get a few of our own in too!! When Hannah arrived, she had the neatest bump we had ever seen, and was absolutely glowing with beauty. We had such an amazing time. So much so, that when Hannah viewed her pictures from the shoot, little Max decided to make an early appearance and arrive 2 weeks early. How's that for timing!! I think we can both honestly say that this was one of our favourite bump sessions. Below are some favourites of the day.

Daisy

Daisy came for a photo shoot a few weeks ago but she really wanted to be at Big Space!!

She did come round a little in the end, especially when she found the pink sunglasses in the toy box, and is now looking forward to coming back to see us with her cousins in a couple of weeks.

What an eventful photo shoot that was!!!!! 5 children who hadn't seen each other for some time as one family lives in Spain, and so a LOT of catching up was in order!! The last thing they all wanted was to come and have their photos taken. However, once the music was on and the lights fired up, they were in posing mode like you wouldn't believe!! The boys LOVED it, although not so sure about little Erin, as her picture shows! We think we've certainly captured their true personalities - what do you think?!

Sean the 'mad' dog

Were we in for a treat when we were asked to photograph Sean the 'mad' dog, who is a beautiful 10 year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. He is just the most gorgeous, well behaved, doe eyed dog I have ever met - and we both fell instantly in love with him! Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, however we did manage to get outside to do some shots. Josephine, Sean's wonderful owner, runs the Berkhamsted Clinical Hypnotherapy Practice (http://www.berkhampstedhypnotherapy.co.uk), and it was in the back garden of this that we did the photos. Sean is certainly a star, and a real poser! Here are some of our favourites.

Kate's family shoot

What can I say about Kate's shoot? Their house is amazing, located very near the Ashridge Estate, Berkhamsted, and the grounds of the house are to just die for, so when I was asked to do some family shots of them, even the damp drizzle couldn't stop me taking them outside. The sun even made a brief appearance! Their garden is a complete treasure trove of fallen trees, mulch mountains (much to Rebecca's delight), secret hideaways and old stone walls. The choice was fantastic, and the beautiful rich brown colours really made the pictures come to life. Apparently when they viewed the video of their pictures, they all cried as they thought they were so beautiful!! Here are some of my favourites.

Well, what can I say about the amazing Brett Harkness? What a fantastic day, shooting some beautiful people up in the (surprisingly) dry Manchester. Jools and Paul's photo shoot, Berkhampstead

I was lucky enough to photograph the gorgeous Jooles and her partner Paul yesterday in and around Berkhampstead. After a few changes of plans, we actually ended up with the original one, which was to meet by the bridge in Waitrose car park, Berkhampstead, and do some photos by the canal. The weather was kind to us; not too sunny (a blessing to me!!), but it was a bit windy on occasions.

Jooles and Paul make a very striking couple, and so I wanted to use some different types of backdrops. After some photos along the canal towpath, we headed up to the castle. Under the bridge was the most wonderful black and white striped wall, which was just crying out to be used.

The stone walls from the original castle had a beautiful, rich texture to them, which worked perfectly against the dark colours of their coats.

A bit more walking, and we ended up in the children's playground, and when you see two empty swings in front of you, you just know what has to be done!

A massive thank you to Jooles and Paul for a great shoot, and for being such good fun. I hope you like a taster of some of the photos.

Sport Relief run

Well, Jeanette has finally done a charity run. Yes, we all thought it would never happen, but when her 6 and 3 year olds announced that 'it was OK mummy, because we will wait for you' enough was enough!!

Kitted out in our Sport Relief t-shirts, we made up a great team from school, and had a great time. Was so impressed by my boys as they both ran and finished. Mum on the other hand was knackered and had to walk on a few occasions. All in the name of pacing, obviously!!!!! Here are a few pics showing our 'team'.

Hooray. We have finally got our blog up and running. The last couple of weeks haven't been the best for us as our website crashed on us (not good timing, especially with our wedding special featured in Harpenden Life magazine), and so we (sorry, Kim) have been busy trying to re-build it. Thank you for bearing with us and sorry it's taken so long to sort out. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we are nearly there. Once it's ready we would love your comments. Do you like the new slideshows? The music? Please, all feedback is really appreciated.
